Aurora Culpo Reveals Why She Was “Dumped” by Bethenny Frankel’s Ex Paul Bernon

Aurora Culpo is setting the record straight.

The Culpo Sisters star confirmed that she and Paul Bernon broke up after two months of dating, while also addressing his ex-fiancé Bethenny Frankel’s decision to announce the split.

"Usually, I always like to keep the men in my life anonymous," Aurora, who is the older sister of Olivia Culpo, explained on the July 17 episode of her Barely Filtered podcast. "Unfortunately, because Paul told Bethenny that he was breaking up with me, and then Bethenny then went on her podcast and leaked it and then gave her reason behind our breakup, it put me in a position to have to respond."

E! News has reached out to a rep for Bethenny and has not heard back.

Aurora and Paul began dating months after the film producer called off his engagement to Bethenny, who he’d been with for six years. 

However, once Aurora and Paul’s relationship started making headlines—around the time of Olivia and Christian McCaffrey’s wedding—he called things off.

In fact, Aurora noted that Paul wanted to remain private and didn’t love it when the paparazzi spotted them in Rhode Island for the nuptials. That, combined with an episode of Aurora’s podcast dropping, in which Olivia jokingly called Paul her “latest flavor of the month,” ultimately led to their split.

“I would've preferred it to go longer, but unfortunately, he dumped me,” Aurora recalled. “The next day, he calls me and he says, ‘It's not working.’ I was disappointed. It never feels good to be broken up with. It's a bruise to the ego.”

She also called out Bethenny, who said that the actions of the woman Paul was involved with—not naming Aurora—“cost them their relationship” during her Just B podcast earlier this month.

“It's not a good look to announce the breakup of your ex-boyfriend with his new girlfriend,” Aurora emphasized. “It's not your story to tell, but she did.” 

But Aurora—who shares kids Remi, 5, and Solei, 3, with ex-husband Michael Bortone—also admitted that she had other issues with Paul, too.

“There were things,” she noted. “He does not want any more kids. I do probably want more kids. Our communication style was just so different.”

“We’re not compatible and I would have known that had I just let the relationship move at a logical pace, but that’s not how I operate,” Aurora continued. “Right off the bat, we were like, ‘We like each other so much. Let's make a show together. Let's move in together. Let's do all the things. It was too much too soon.”

The reality TV stars are parting ways after Carly filed for divorce from the Love Island USA alum on June 10, citing irreconcilable differences. 

The Jonas Brothers singer and the model called it quits after five months of dating, multiple outlets reported by early June.

The Golden Bachelor couple announced their decision to divorce on April 12, three months after tying the knot in a live, televised ceremony.

Nearly one year after privately separating, Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied finalized their divorce in March 2024 after 11 years of marriage.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, who split from Dean in June 2023, officially filed for divorce on March 29 after nearly 18 years of marriage.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star filed for divorce from the businessman in February after just 15 months of marriage.

The son of late Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin and Heath Ledger's niece announced their breakup on Feb. 16.

"We wanted to share that we have decided to go our separate ways," the wrote in a joint statement on Instagram Story, "but profoundly appreciate all of the time spent together and wish one another all the very best into the future."

The pair—who were first romantically linked in November 2022—added, "We wish to express gratitude and respect we have for one another as we continue our journeys on different paths." 

Multiple outlets reported Feb. 8 that Jason filed for divorce from the fellow country singer on Dec. 15, 2023.

After more than a year and a half of dating, Travis Barker's oldest son and the TikTok star split.

After four years of marriage The Really Good Podcast host announced that she and husband Cory are divorcing.

"As sad as I am right now, I am so thankful for the time I got to be his wife," Bobbi wrote on Instagram Feb. 7. "Our girls are so lucky to have him as a father & I am so lucky to be able to coparent with such an incredible father and person."

The document states that the former couple—who share daughters Isla, 19 months, and Luca, 3—plan to share joint custody of their children. 

Bachelor Nation started the year off with a shocking breakup. 

According to court documents obtained by E! News, the chiropractor filed for divorce from the lawyer on Jan. 2 after four years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.

Months after revealing their separation, the pair, who tied the knot in 2011, announced they were filing for divorce.

"As you all know we have been separated for over a year now," the Backstreet Boys star wrote on Instagram Jan. 1. "While we have hoped for reconciliation we have decided to officially end our marriage."

According to documents obtained by People, Kim filed for divorce from the Milli Vanilli member Jan. 8.

Though details surrounding their wedding date remain unclear, Fabrice told the outlet in 2023 that he's been living in Amsterdam with partner Tessa van der Steen and their four children.

The couple behind "The ACE Family" YouTube channel announced they broke up after nearly seven years of marriage Jan. 11.

"I didn't break up with him because I don't love him, I broke up with him because he doesn't love me," Sam shared on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. "It's the first time I've picked myself ever in the relationship."

But despite not being on the same page, she added that she and her formr costar remain on "good terms."
